XIGDUO 10/1000mg Tablet contains two medicines: dapagliflozin and metformin, both belonging to the class of oral antidiabetics. It is prescribed for adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus when blood sugar cannot be adequately controlled with diet, exercise, or other medicines.

This medicine may rarely cause a serious condition called lactic acidosis (excess lactic acid in the blood), which can be life-threatening.

• Stop the medicine and seek urgent medical help if you experience unusual muscle pain, difficulty breathing, severe weakness, stomach discomfort, dizziness, or slow/irregular heartbeat.

This medicine may increase the risk of:

• Urinary tract infections.
• Genital fungal infections.
• Dehydration due to excess water loss.
