Vilitra contains Vardenafil, a prescription-only medicine used in the treatment of erectile dysfunction (ED) in men. It increases blood flow to the penis by relaxing blood vessels, helping men achieve and maintain an erection during sexual activity.

How Should this Medicine be Used?

• Take Vilitra exactly as prescribed by your doctor.
• Usually taken 30–60 minutes before sexual activity.
• Do not take more than one dose in 24 hours.
• Swallow the tablet whole with water.
• Can be taken with or without food, but avoid high-fat meals which may delay its effect.

Special Precautions

Before using Vilitra (Vardenafil), inform your doctor if:

• You are allergic to Vardenafil or any of its ingredients.
• You have a history of heart disease, stroke, or very low blood pressure (<90/50 mmHg).
• You have kidney or liver problems.
• You have an eye disorder (retinal disease, loss of vision).
• You have hearing problems.
• You have seizures/epilepsy.
• You have penile deformities or conditions that may predispose you to priapism (prolonged erections).
• You are taking nitrates (for chest pain/angina) — do not use with Vardenafil.
• You consume alcohol — this may worsen side effects such as dizziness or low blood pressure.
• This medicine is not for use in women, children, or adolescents.

Possible Side Effects

Common side effects:

• Headache
• Flushing
• Heartburn
• Nausea, diarrhea
• Dizziness
• Stuffy nose or cough

Serious side effects — seek medical attention immediately if you develop:

• Prolonged or painful erection (priapism)
• Sudden decrease or loss of vision
• Changes in color vision
• Sudden decrease or loss of hearing
• Chest pain, fainting, irregular heartbeat
• Allergic reactions: swelling of face, lips, tongue, throat, difficulty breathing or swallowing
• Severe skin rash or blistering

Storage & Disposal

• Store at room temperature, away from moisture and direct light.
• Keep out of reach of children and pets.
• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack.
• Dispose of unused or expired medicine safely, according to pharmacist instructions.

Emergency Guidance

• In case of overdose, seek immediate medical attention. Symptoms may include severe dizziness, fainting, or prolonged erection.
• Seek urgent medical help if you experience chest pain, sudden vision or hearing loss, or an erection lasting longer than 4 hours.
