Lipidator 40mg Tablet is used along with diet to:

  • Lower bad cholesterol (LDL) and triglycerides.
  • Increase good cholesterol (HDL).
  • Reduce the risk of heart attack, stroke, and other complications in people with type 2 diabetes, coronary heart disease, or other risk factors.

It belongs to the group of medicines called statins, which block the production of cholesterol in the liver. In addition to lowering cholesterol, statins also help stabilize plaques in blood vessels and reduce the risk of blood clots.

  • Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor.
  • Usually taken once daily, at the same time each day.
  • May be taken with or without food.
  • Swallow tablets whole with a glass of water.

Special Precautions

Muscle and joint problems:

  • Risk increases if taken with certain other medicines (e.g., gemfibrozil, cyclosporine, daptomycin, ritonavir).
  • Contact your doctor immediately if you develop unexplained muscle pain, tenderness, or weakness.

Common:

Storage & Disposal

  • Store at room temperature (20–25°C / 68–77°F).
  • Keep away from heat, moisture, and direct sunlight.
  • Do not store in bathrooms.
  • Keep out of reach of children and pets.
  • Dispose of unused medicine safely.

Emergency Guidance

  • Overdose: Seek immediate medical help if too many tablets are taken. Symptoms may include severe dizziness, fainting, or irregular heartbeat.
  • Severe muscle symptoms: Stop the medicine and seek urgent medical care if you develop unexplained muscle pain, tenderness, weakness, or dark-colored urine.
  • Allergic reaction: Get emergency help if you develop rash, itching, swelling of face/tongue/throat, or difficulty breathing.
