Oral Antihypertensive (Angiotensin II Receptor Blocker + Diuretic Combination)

Product Information

Cozartan H Tablet is a combination of two medicines—Losartan and Hydrochlorothiazide—used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). Controlling high blood pressure reduces the risk of heart attacks, strokes, and kidney failure.

Losartan relaxes and widens blood vessels, while Hydrochlorothiazide (a “water pill”) increases urine output to lower blood pressure. This dual action provides more effective control when a single medicine alone is insufficient.

The tablet may be taken with or without food. Take it at the same time each day to gain maximum benefit. Continue taking it regularly even if you feel well, as high blood pressure usually has no symptoms. Because Hydrochlorothiazide increases urination, avoid taking this medicine within four hours of bedtime.

Your doctor will determine the correct dose based on your condition and response to treatment. This medicine is not recommended in pregnancy and should be used with caution in people with kidney or liver disease, heart problems, or diabetes. Alcohol may enhance its blood pressure–lowering effects and increase side effects.
