Antiplatelet / Blood Thinner
CLAVIX 75 mg Tablet is prescribed to reduce the risk of serious heart and blood vessel problems in people at high risk of cardiovascular disease. It is commonly given to individuals with peripheral vascular disease (poor circulation due to narrowed blood vessels), a recent heart attack or stroke, or irregular heart rhythms. It is also prescribed after certain heart procedures such as stenting.
CLAVIX may also be used in combination with other medicines to manage heart attack and unstable angina (heart-related chest pain).
This medicine may be taken with or without food. It should be taken at the same time each day. Continue taking it even if you feel well, as stopping suddenly may increase the risk of heart attack or stroke.
CLAVIX is prescribed to prevent blood clots, reduce the risk of stroke, and lower the chance of heart attacks in people with cardiovascular disease or after certain heart procedures.
Doctors may sometimes prescribe CLAVIX for other clot-prevention needs based on individual risk factors.
⚠️ Bleeding Risk Warning
This medicine increases your risk of bleeding. Report unusual bruising, nosebleeds, blood in urine or stool, or prolonged bleeding to your doctor immediately. Seek emergency help for uncontrolled or severe bleeding.
Many patients are prescribed CLAVIX together with low-dose aspirin after a heart attack, stent placement, or certain heart surgeries. This is called dual antiplatelet therapy (DAPT).
