Cenforce 25 mg Tablet is a medicine used to treat erectile dysfunction (impotence) in men. It works by increasing blood flow to the penis, helping achieve and maintain an erection when sexually stimulated.

Sildenafil, the active ingredient, belongs to the class of medicines called PDE5 inhibitors. It should be taken about 30–60 minutes before sexual activity. The medicine works only with sexual stimulation and should not be taken more than once a day.

Why is this Medication Prescribed?

Cenforce is prescribed to treat erectile dysfunction in men who cannot achieve or maintain a firm erection sufficient for sexual intercourse.

How Should this Medicine be Used?

  • Take with or without food

  • If new to ED medicines, start with either this dose(25mg) or a slightly higher dose(50mg) before increasing if prescribed
  • Avoid alcohol, as it increases risk of side effects
  • Do not take with nitrate-based medicines (used for chest pain/angina)

Special Precautions

Do not take Cenforce if you have:

  • Severe heart or liver problems
  • Very low blood pressure (hypotension)
  • Recently had a heart attack or stroke
  • Are taking nitrate medicines for chest pain

Inform your doctor if you have:

  • Kidney disease or liver disease
  • Pulmonary disease
  • History of priapism (prolonged erection)
  • Hearing or vision problems (including retinitis pigmentosa)
  • Seizure disorders
  • Alcoholism

Food and beverage interactions:

  • Alcohol: Increases risk of low blood pressure and side effects
  • Grapefruit: May increase drug levels in the body and alter effect; avoid large amounts

Possible Side Effects

Common side effects include:

  • Flushing (warmth, redness, or tingling)
  • Headache or dizziness
  • Indigestion, nausea, or stomach upset
  • Abnormal vision (blurred vision, color changes)
  • Runny or stuffy nose, nosebleeds
  • Sleep problems (insomnia)
  • Muscle pain or back pain

Seek medical help if you experience chest pain, sudden vision/hearing loss, or an erection lasting more than 4 hours.

  • Store in a cool, dry place away from moisture and heat
  • Keep out of reach of children and pets
  • Do not use expired tablets
  • Dispose of unused medicine safely as advised by your pharmacist

Emergency Guidance

  • In case of overdose, seek emergency medical help immediately
  • Symptoms may include fainting, chest pain, irregular heartbeat, or prolonged painful erection (priapism)
  • If accidentally taken by a child, call emergency services right away
