Product Information

Arimidex 1 mg Tablet is used alone or alongside surgery or radiation to treat early breast cancer in postmenopausal women. It is also prescribed as the first-line treatment for advanced breast cancer that has spread within the breast or to other areas of the body.

Arimidex belongs to the class of medicines known as aromatase inhibitors. It lowers estrogen levels in the body, which helps slow or stop the growth of certain types of breast cancer.

Why is this Medication Prescribed?

Arimidex is prescribed to reduce estrogen levels in postmenopausal women with hormone-sensitive breast cancer, thereby slowing cancer growth and reducing recurrence.
